3 Tips for Better Photos | Cache Valley Photographer
Have you ever booked a photo session and wondered how to prepare for it? We all have certain likes and dislikes about ourselves in photos. It's human nature. But, after years of experience shooting everything from seniors to weddings, I'd love to share with you my three best tips for getting better photos at a photo session! This blog does not include style tips. For style tips click here or book a session to get my Style Guide.
1. Choose a photographer you like! Choosing a photographer that's right for you is very important. Not only do you have to like their style of photos, (such as bright and airy, dark and moody, etc.) but you also have to like them as a person. These photos are important to you. That's why you're spending time and money to get them taken. Choose someone you like and trust, so that the experience will go smoothly! You'll also be able to look back on the photos and remember the happiness you were feeling. To read more about choosing a photographer that's right for you, click here.
2. Send you photographer a must-have shot list! While most photographers make sure to get 'every combination' of people, it is very helpful to know what photos you prioritize. This is especially helpful for weddings and big groups. These are your photos, and we want to give you all of the photos you want! Some clients email a list over, some tell us at the shoot. Either way is great!
3. Let loose and have fun! Your photos will look and feel more personal if you have fun with them. I use natural guided posing to capture emotions in photos. All you have to do is be you! Have fun, be confident, let loose, be silly, show the love. Having fun makes for the best photos!
