Kathryn & Alex | Park City Ski Resort Wedding

The Peterson's are married! Daylen and I headed up to Park City Ski Resort (formerly Canyons Ski Resort) for Alex and Kathryn's wedding on August 31 2018. Alex and Kathryn met on Tinder, a real life dating app love story! They live in Draper, Alex was raised in Park City. They love hiking, and their three dogs! They were married outdoors surrounded by their loved ones.

When guests arrived, they were taken up to the ceremony by gondola. After getting ready photos, Daylen went up with the groom and groomsmen, and I went up with the bride and bridesmaids. There was such a pretty view! Daylen is a bit afraid of heights, so he was trying very hard not to look down.

At the entrance to the gondola was a canvas with a photo from our bridal session on Antelope Island. It was the biggest canvas I've ever made for a client, at 30x40''!

We got off at the very top of the gondola, at the Red Pines Lodge. It's a beautiful mountain lodge with a formal dinner area on the roof. Guests signed the hearts to go in the shadow box guest book, and looked at all of the pretty decorations before heading to the bridge where the ceremony was held.

The ceremony was beautiful! Kathryn and Alex both wrote vows to each other, and they were so sweet. There were lots of tears. The bridge had a great view of the trees as the sun was going down. The resort was such a great location!

The cake was a geode cake which I've been dying to photograph! The cake maker was even featured on Martha Stewart. Dinner was amazing, so was dessert.

Kathryn and Alex learned some choreography for their first dance! It wasn't cheesy at all, it was so elegant. Plus, look at those awesome photos I got! ;) Guests danced later on in the cool purple lights. It was so fun!

After the cake cutting, there was more dancing and mingling! It was such a fun wedding, not one person wasn't smiling. Congrats to Mr. and Mrs. Peterson!
