Brittany + Alex | Fall Mountain Lake Bridal Photos + First Look

My best friend is married! Brittany and I go back to when we were 5 + 7 years old. We were neighbors and best friends and spent a lot of our childhoods together. She was my maid of honor in my wedding. My chosen sister. I'm so happy she found the man of her dreams!

Brittany and Alex have been together for almost 3 years, and got engaged this summer while hiking in Idaho in the rain. They were married October 26 2022 in the Mount Timpanogos Temple. For their first look + bridals, they wanted mountains, pine trees, and a bit of fall colors. They are a very adventurous couple, so I wanted somewhere further up in the mountains that would have a lot of diversity in backgrounds for the photos. I asked Brittany about a few places closer to Utah County, where they live, but we decided on Tony Grove in Cache Valley.

Tony Grove is a beautiful mountain lake and campground at the top of Logan Canyon. Since it's so high elevation, spring starts late June / early July, and winter starts in October. Their fall is about two weeks or so long, so not a ton of time to get in fall photos. But it's so gorgeous up there when the fall colors are out! It was the perfect location for Brittany and Alex's first look and formal photos.
