Autumn & Kevin | Utah Mountain Engagements
Happy December! December is one of my favorite months for photos. It’s usually pretty sunny, there’s lots of snow, and CHRISTMAS OF COURSE! I was so excited to hike through the snowy mountains with Autumn and Kevin for their engagements.
Autumn and Kevin are getting married January 2019! Here’s how they met in Autumn’s words:
“We went to church together and then got to know each other through the same friend group. Along with that, we lived in the same apartment complex and worked for the same company.”
“Our first date was a picnic at Trapper Park. It is a beautiful, quiet, sucluded area! Kevin suggested that we visit the park because we hadn’t been in a while. We get to our spot and talk for a little bit, just admiring the view and reminiscing. After some time, Kevin says, “So I have something for you!” and pulls out a journal. He wrote me a list of all the reasons he loves me, remembering a conversation we had a couple weeks earlier. He told me to read it like a storybook.
“I flipped from one page to the next reading aloud each reason he loved me. I then reached the last page of the writing and the page asked the question, “Will you marry me?” At that moment Kevin pressed play on his phone with the song Just Say Yes by Snow Patrol* and got down on one knee. He pulled out the ring and asked once again, “Autumn, will you marry me?” Of course, I said, “Yes!” A lot according to Kevin.”
“I told my mom 2 years ago to tell my future man to play that song when he proposes.”
