This September we flew to Georgia to buy a truck and drove it all the way back home to Utah! It was a once in a lifetime experience. We saw so many cool places we had never been and had a blast! It's such a neat experience to drive across the country. We want to do it again with more time to stop next time!
Georgia
Our first stop was in Georgia. We picked up our truck and headed towards Tennessee! We stopped at a really big Bass Pro Shops in Georgia, and saw the famous Chattahoochee River.
Tennessee
In Nashville, we stopped at the Opry Mills Mall and hung out a bit. We got to see the Grand Ole Opry and some other cool places from the outside. It was pretty late so we headed down to our hotel in Alabama.
Alabama + Mississippi
We stayed at our hotel in Alabama and saw some cotton fields!
Arkansas
Arkansas was cool! We crossed over the bridges in Memphis TN and the Arkansas border was on the bridge. We ate at Whataburger, which I was so excited for, in Texarkana.
Texas
We had so much fun in Texas. We stayed in Dallas and went to the Bass Pro Shop there. It was super cool, and we ate at the concession stand there. We also visited the Bedford TX Harley Davidson. It was huge! Daylen's grandparents visited that specific Harley right before they passed away, so it was awesome to see it. Then, we headed across the plains to Amarillo. That was a pretty cool city!
New Mexico
In Albuquerque, we stopped at Petroglyph National Monument and walked around a bit.
Arizona
Our favorite stop was in Flagstaff! I grew up in Phoenix and went to Flagstaff as a kid, so I was super excited to go back. On our way into AZ, we stopped at Petrified Forest National Monument. We went to Chipotle that night and stayed at a cool forest hotel. The next day, we went to Sunset Crater Volcano, Wupatki National Monument, and the Grand Canyon. I can't wait to go back when we have more time!
