This November we visited family in Ohio! Almost my whole family lives here, and they are all from here. Daylen and I last visited the Cleveland area in 2016, so it's been quite a while since we've been back. It was so nice seeing family, and having a break from building for a minute.
First we stopped in Chicago, and wandered around the airport a bit. It was fun! When we flew back in 2016, we flew separately.
Then we went right to Pappy's house. Pappy is my grandpa on my mom's side, and his house is the coolest house in the world. I grew up going here a lot, and have always loved it so much!
We drove around the area with Pappy for the day, and visited the maple cabin and the Amish cheese factory. These are always my favorites. We grabbed some maple candies, cheese, and chocolate milk. We also saw the Amish in carriages on the road, which Daylen hadn't seen before. He thought it was so cool!
Next we went to my favorite town in Ohio - Chagrin Falls! It's the coolest. We visited the popcorn shop, which we love.
We also visited the Kirkland Temple. It was the very first LDS temple ever built. We got a souvenir for Daylen's parents there as well.
For dinner, we went to my favorite restaurant in Ohio, Picklebill's! It's right on Lake Erie and is just such a cool place. We also caught the sunset on Lake Erie and it was so pretty!
We met up with my Mom and Rob at night in Cleveland and had some fun going around the city. We had dessert at Sweet Moses and saw the Christmas Story House.
We visited family in Medina and ate at a super cool place we had never tried called PJ Marley's! It was Daylen's first time in Medina.
We also visited the ASM Dome, where I went to a metals science summer camp years ago.
