Grand Teton NP + Yellowstone NP | Two Times in One Month

Twice in a month! For the Fourth of July weekend and Daylen's birthday on July 3rd we decided to head up to Jackson Hole, Wyoming. We love visiting our Aunt Diann and Uncle Stan up there! Then again on July 19, we headed up again, this time with our friend Gavin. The first trip, we went boating on the Palisades Lake, saw the Grand Tetons, and spent some time in Jackson. The second, we went to Yellowstone and the Grand Tetons again!

We're getting all of our summer traveling in this month, and I've loved these trips.

We spent July 3, Daylen's birthday, driving up to Star Valley. Daylen's aunt and uncle took us to dinner at a really cool place in Alpine called the Flying Saddle Resort. It was fun! We spent the 4th of July boating out on the Palisades and watching the parade in Alpine.

The next day was our Grand Teton NP day! We woke up early and drove up to the park. After getting my passport stamped and visiting a few shops, we drove up to the mountains! We have been here before, but didn't get to stop for very long. It was fun to focus on just Grand Teton instead of just passing through to get to Yellowstone.

We hiked down to a beautiful river so I could take some photos of the mountains, and the clouds cleared just in time! It had been cloudy all morning on the mountaintops.

After the park, we went to Jackson to visit all of the shops. It's one of our favorite things to do every time we go up! Of course, we took the classic antler arch photo as well. ;)

We finished our trip with some more boating and headed home! It was super relaxing and fun. Little did we know we'd be back in two weeks!

Two weeks later, our friend Gavin invited us on a weekend trip to Yellowstone! He had never been through the south entrance, so we decided on that.

We stopped at Colter Bay in Grand Teton NP first! It was so pretty, we loved the marina and the mountains in the background.

Our first stop in Yellowstone was West Thumb! Daylen and I skipped this geyser basin last time we went, so it was really fun to see it this time. I love that it's right on the lake!

The rest of the day we stopped at Old Faithful and Upper Geyser Basin, Grand Prismatic Spring, and the Artist Paintpots. It was fun to go on the hikes! We also saw the lodge, and stopped for a few souvenirs.

The next day on our way home, we stopped by Fishing Bridge and saw the lake. The black sand is so cool! We had a really fun trip, and can't wait to do it again. We are so lucky to live so close to Yellowstone!
