Orange County CA | Mom's Wedding

Mom is married! We spent the last bit of August in Southern California for my mom's wedding. It's always a blast to visit Huntington Beach, and this trip was just as fun! We had my grandpa "Pappy" with us from Ohio, and we all missed him so much so it was great to have him here.

We flew into Orange County and hung out at the beach house in Huntington Beach the first night. We unpacked some wedding stuff and got our plans straightened out for the next few days!

The next day was packed with activities and beaches! We went over to Laguna Beach first to check out the spot the wedding would be at. We took lots of photos and enjoyed the views and plants there. Then, we spent some time swimming in the ocean! It was so nice in the water. Until a wave pulled Daylen and I down at one point, and he scraped his side on the sand.

Then, we visited our favorite OC candy shop, B.Candy! We got two cute cookies and some ice cream. After, we headed over to Balboa Island by ferry! We've done this before, and it's always fun to go on. It's a mini ferry! We ate at Rockin' Baja for dinner where Daylen and I got a bucket full of chicken, steak, lobster, shrimp, and corn. It was so yummy!

That night, we all went down to Huntington Beach to watch the sunset. It was so gorgeous! I love being on the beach at sunset when there are less people and the lighting is so pretty. There were a lot of cargo ships waiting to port at Long Beach Harbor off in the distance. I've never seen cargo ships out there waiting before. We also saw an interesting warning sign on the beach.

Once it was dark, my mom and I headed out to Baja Sharkeez Bar for a sort of Bachelorette Party! It was super fun. We also window shopped a bit in Huntington.

The next day was my mom and Rob's wedding! We were all very energetic despite the full day we had before. We spent the morning getting ready and the afternoon setting up the gazebo. We took lots of photos and film down on the beach after the ceremony and ate at The Old Spaghetti Factory afterwards in Newport. It was really fun, and such a beautiful ceremony. When we got back to the beach house, we all went out to Baja Sharkeez again and stayed up really late. It was a great day!

In the morning, we took Mom and Rob to the airport and sent them off to Hawaii. When we got back to Huntington, we took Pappy out on the pier for a couple hours to see the ocean, surfers, and fishermen. Pappy loved watching the surfers most! The surfers did not care one bit about the shark sighting. We also explored some of the shops near the pier.

Later, Daylen and I went over to Irvine to visit the Orange County Harley Davidson! We love visiting Harley's when we are out of town. This one was super cool! We picked up Pappy for his very first In N Out burger for dinner, and he loved it. In N Out in California is just a fun experience. Once it was dark, we walked out onto the pier at night. It was super cool! We saw some fishermen catch sting rays, tried to spot things in the water, and saw the lights from the city.

On our last morning in California, we woke up early to go to the beach one last time. We always do this on our last morning! We only have to walk 1 1/2 blocks to the beach so it's super easy. Daylen got a bunch of shells to bring home for crafts, and we waded in the ocean a bit. It was super foggy that last morning, but it was a pretty fog. We picked up some Starbucks on our walk back to the beach house and packed up to leave!

It was a super fun trip to California! We haven't been in a while due to COVID so we were very excited to visit again. Thanks for reading! See more on my Instagram and Pinterest.
