We have been spending the last part of our summer out at Bear Lake on the boat and it has been so much fun! Bear Lake is near Logan, and we are so lucky to live near it. It's a common destination for out of state travelers and families going on their summer vacations. It's famous for clear turquoise water and great beaches! We visit Bear Lake all year for lots of fun things. Bear Lake is so big, it's perfect for boating. It never gets super crowded with boats on the lake.
We love visiting the lake, boating, fishing, hanging out on the beach, and of course, getting shakes. Bear Lake is home of the famous Raspberry Shake. The best places to grab a shake are Ephraim's, Merlin's (open Sunday), Some Beaches, La Beau's and Zipz. They have great food as well. My favorite shakes are Brownie or M&M, and Daylen's favorites are Raspberry or Strawberry Banana. We tried eating shakes in the boat once, and it failed. Turns out ice cream melts fast. Who knew?
We spent two weekends in a row in August out on the boat for a day having so much fun with family. First, we swam. I love swimming in Bear Lake because of how clean the water is! It's so much fun jumping off the boat and hanging out in the water. We all agreed it was our favorite part. I put a reel on my Instagram of different boat jumps, make sure you check that out. Sami and I challenged Dylan and Daylen to show us their best jumps off of the boat and we got some pretty hilarious ones on that reel!
Bridgette has been going on boats since she was a puppy, and loves to swim. We got her a life jacket a while back for our fishing boat and it's the cutest thing! She has been so tired after our lake days, even though she sleeps in the cabin of the boat when she's not in the water.
We also love tubing and knee boarding! If you haven't been tubing on a boat, definitely try it out sometime. It's a blast! My brother in law Dylan is super good at knee boarding, as you can tell from the photos. The rest of us are still working on it. It's harder than it looks!
