Cache Valley Fall Bucket List 2023

It's almost fall y'all! I love fall, especially since we live in the perfect place for it. The first few years we lived in Cache Valley, I made it my mission to get to know the area by going to local businesses, attending local events, and finding out what everyone here loves to do locally. Now that we've been here a bit, we have some favorite activities and places to go in the fall that I think you'll love. I publish an updated list every year, so this is current for 2023!

I can't wait to complete this fall bucket list! Most things on this list are free or not expensive, so it's totally doable. Comment below when you have completed it too. Happy Fall!

American West Heritage Center Corn Maze

We love the AWHC corn mazes! They are so fun. There is a regular corn maze and a haunted one, plus extra activities for all ages. It does cost to get tickets, but it's not that expensive and totally worth it. We haven't tried the haunted maze yet, this might be the year we do! It runs from September 22 – October 28, 2023, and their Fall Harvest Festival is October 13 & 14 this year. Admission to the corn maze is $8 this year. Click here for a link to their website to buy tickets + see info.

Go on a hike

Hiking in the fall is the best time in Cache Valley. We love these trails: Crimson Trail, Wind Cave Trail, Bonneville Shoreline Trail, Limber Pine, White Pine Lake, and Hardware Ranch area. Grab your camera, and light jacket and hit the trails! To see my 2023 list of the best hikes in Cache Valley, click here.

Pick a Pumpkin at a Pumpkin Patch

Our favorite place to pick a pumpkin is Little Bear Bottoms. Ten times better than getting a pumpkin at the store, trust me. You get to cut yours off the vine here! They have so many pumpkins, from gigantic to palm sized. Little Bear Bottoms opens this year on September 22. Here is a link to their website.

Attend a Fall Market

There are so many little markets and shows with the cutest farmhouse, antique, an unique items. One fall, I got a succulent planted in a pumpkin! These awesome local businesses have the cutest things, and perfect fall home decor. Don't miss the food trucks too! Vintage Market Days is my favorite fall market in the valley, and this year it is September 21-23 at the Cache County Fairgrounds.

Go to the Pumpkin Walk

One of our favorite fall traditions! The North Logan Pumpkin Walk is a can't miss Cache Valley event. Admission is FREE and it's great for families! You take a stroll through many displays featuring expertly painted and carved pumpkins. I recommend going at night to see everything lit up! It's at Elk Ridge Park October 19-21, 23-24, 2023 from 10am to 10pm. This year's theme is "40th Anniversary of the Pumpkin Walk." Click here for their website.

Get Fall Photos taken

A mandatory tradition! Fall is a great time of year to get updated family and couples photos. Plus, you'll have some for Christmas cards in a couple months! I know the best locations, times of year for leaves, and non-awkward poses for fall! Check out Abigail Erin Photography here.

Pick out a new Minky Couture blanket

Winter is on it's way and you definitely need a soft, cozy, luxury blanket to snuggle up with. These are the best blankets ever! My current favorite is the Urban Polar Hazelnut in Monster size. Click here for their website, and use code AREAVES45 for 45% off!
