Pumpkin Picking

This year we had a blast picking our pumpkins! I can't believe it's already well into fall this year. 2021 has gone by so fast! It has felt a bit faster this year with the Utah weather as well, it snowed 8 inches at the beginning of October! A few days after the big snow we decided it was time to go get our pumpkins for carving and our porch.

We continued our tradition of going to Little Bear Bottoms in Wellsville to pick our pumpkins. We love Little Bear Bottoms because you get to actually pick pumpkins off the vine from their pumpkin patch! They have many different types of pumpkins as well. Daylen always picks our big carving pumpkins, and I pick the smaller ones for porch decoration. Daylen is super good at choosing great pumpkins that last a long time.

I loved picking a white pumpkin and red-orange pumpkin for our porch steps! I love the different colors. Dylan and Sami picked some good pumpkins too! We filled up our wheelbarrow pretty easily. Our big pumpkins were from the very back of the patch, past the area that had been picked through a bit.

We ended up getting a great deal from the owner of the patch and got all of our pumpkins (ours and Dylan and Sami's) for $45! I couldn't believe it. Each couple got five pumpkins! The owner of Little Bear Bottoms was surprised that we found some of the biggest pumpkins he had.

It was a blast! We'll definitely be back next year to continue our tradition of picking pumpkins at Little Bear Bottoms. Happy Fall y'all!
